Adding Weight to the Pieces
In windy areas, the pieces may need to have added weight. This is done using the removable plug underneath each piece.
The water-tight plug is removed using a spanner which comes with each set and then sand or water can be put inside.
You will be supplied with the plug spanner with the delivery of your set.

A funnel will help you avoid making a mess. You can make a simple home-made one using a 2 litre plastic soda bottle by doing the following:
Cut off the top and the bottom of the bottle with a strong pair of scissors. Make sure to cut off the top so that it sits well in the hole at the bottom of the chess piece.

and you have a funnel!

All that's left is to pour in the sand...
